If you come from the HP world of Systems Management, you are most likely familiar with their SmartStart installation tool. In the Dell OpenManage toolset, the equivalent product is the Dell OpenManage Systems Build and Update Utility.

SBUU is a bootable DVDCD image that will walk you through the installation of Operating Systems, deploy firmware and BIOS updates, and optionally create a script so you can capture and recreate the process across many servers.
