joef82 Dell 3115cn Network Scanning with Linux 1 Aug 23 2007, 4:05 PM EDT by scott_hanson
Thread started: Aug 23 2007, 12:40 AM EDT  Watch
Hello,

I was wondering if it is a possibility to use the network scanning functionality of the 3115cn with Ubuntu? Or if not, is there a change that a driver will ever be created for it? As far as I can tell, there is no S.A.N.E support for this scanner, only TWAIN and WIA. I do realize that it can be set to have documents scanned to a network share or an FTP server, but that really isn't an ideal solution for me. Everything else works great, so I'd love to be able to use XSane to scan documents..

Thanks,

Joe

I would like a driver for the Dell 3100cn printer so I can print from UBUNTU. Red Hat Driver xx.rpm does not execute to load a Linux driver.
