After graduating (again and again) from UT Austin English Department and the Computer Writing and Research Laboratory (technology education in networked classrooms and environments), I was asked to work at a startup developing the first enterprise instant messaging product. Most of my experience has been as product manager for several products at several companies, including Activerse's Ding, DingBot SDK; Matrix NetSystems' Matrix Insight, along with editing Matrix Maps Quarterly, Matrix News; convincing IETF BOFs to play nice; writing RFCs and API documentation; and working with 'Net pioneers from way back. When I'm not working, I still spend time exploring virtual worlds (text and graphical), astronomy, racing cars, pruning roses, traveling, learning languages, playing cards, and writing about food and culture.
